In a recent interview Lindsay Lohan told People magazine she was hanging around the wrong crowd, and didn’t have her priorities straight prior to going to rehab. She says she’s not on the right track. She must be telling the truth because if she was still drinking and doing drugs the world would know about it by now but since she left the Cirque Lodge there haven’t been any crazy incidents. PEOPLE magazine online writes:

After a tumultuous 2007, Lohan’s career seems to be back on track. She’s recording a new album and begins filming the Jack Black movie Ye Olde Times this spring. (”I’m excited to go and do a comedy,” she says.) And Chapter 27, which costars Jared Leto, is set to open later this month.So does Lohan view this as her comeback? “I think this is what I love to do,” she said. “I’m just continuing to do it – in the right ways.”

Things seem to be going pretty well for Lindsay since she completed the rehab program at Cirque Lodge. She has managed to stay out of trouble, and since she still has the respect of many producers in Hollywood, there’s no reason she shouldn’t be able to rise above her downfall of 2006 - 2007.

In the mag Lindsay tells Harpers:

On partying:
“I have it in me to go, go, go. I’m still young. I love life. I love music and being around that. I love people, and I’m a very social person. But I also love being home, quiet and normal…I’ve always been a homebody…Seriously…I was just running away from what my home had become.”

On the last year:
“When I look back on this last year, it’s like, what was I thinking?”

On the paparazzi:
“The cameras are constantly there, and they’re constantly looking for the negative. So one roll of the eyes and you’re deemed drunk. One wrong step, your ankle twists, and you’re drunk. They can declare, ‘Lindsay drunk in the day!’ Which I never was in my life, actually.”

On her dreams of a music career:
“I’d love to work with Timbaland. I’d love to work with Kanye West, 50 Cent if I could.”

On the one thing she can’t give up:
“I always feel like I need a cigarette with coffee. But I’m trying to smoke less.”
